Atticus and The Trial
I felt like it was the right thing to do when the people in the balcony stood for Attcus because he was the only white person that would defend a black person. Everyone else hated black people and he treated them as his equal. The people in the balcony stand up because they were greatful for Atticus because no one would do what Atticus would do, and that is defend a black person. Losing a battle when you know your right is better than winning a battle that you know you lost because if you lose but you know your right, other people are going to respect you for being honest. It is bad when you know your wrong and you won because other people might look down on you for cheating or because you will do anything to win even if you hurt someone in the process. I once lost a battle like this when I was younger and playing monopoly with my sister, I won, but I cheated. When she wasn't looking I would take some money from the bank. After about the second time she found out and told my parents. She wasn't to mad but my parents wouldn't let me play for a while.

Jem's Sensitivity
Jem was sensitive at the end of chapter seven because Boo Radley filled in the hole in the tree with cement. Jem seemed sensitive about playing the Boo Radley game after being eager because he remembers that he filled in the hole in the tree and he was mad. Scout is very interested to learn more about Boo Radley and she tries to find out more by playing the game. Dill is probably the most interested about him because he made the game up.

Fear and Unkown
When I was younger, my friend and I would always play in some woods that were close to my house. The woods were next to many houses but we never saw anyone there. One day my friend and I went to the woods and we saw a treehouse but we had never saw the treehouse or anyone building the treehouse before.
We were both very curious to see if anyone was inside it, so we went inside it just to find out that there was no one and nothing in it. We ended up playing in it for the rest of that day. From then on, we would always go to that treehouse and see if anyone was inside it and it was always the same answer, no.

First Day at School
Some simularities between my first day of high school and Scout's first day of elementary school are that we were both very nervous. Another simularity was that we were both attending a new school but we both had people that we new that went to the school. Another simularity was that we both understood everything the teachers were teaching.
Some differences between our first days of high school and elementary school are that my first day was very good and hers was very bad. Another difference was that she got in trouble for knowing how to read and write and I didn't. Another difference was that all my teachers had been teaching at the school for at least a couple years and it was her teachers first year at that school.

Hero Journal
Someone in my life that I consider a hero is my old youth pastor at my church and his name is Tyler Krumland. I consider him a hero because he has every trait of a hero, he is very nice and he is a very good friend. He has been the person that I can go to when things are tough or when something is going wrong. I can always talk to him.
I think he is a hero because he is going back to school for two more years even though he has been out for about five years. He works very hard and never quits no matter how hard the situation. I believe he is one of my best friends. I have looked up to him ever since I met him and I will continue to keep looking up to him.
